New ELDT Online CDL Training Platform Meets FMCSA requirements

Beginning February 7, 2022, in compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA’s) Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) rule, any individual trying to obtain their Commercial Drivers License (CDL) for the first time, must successfully complete an approved program of theory and behind-the-wheel instruction before they can take their CDL skills test. This training program must be approved by the FMCSA, and listed on their Training Provider Registry (TPR).
Finding an FMCSA approved training provider near you may prove to be difficult for a while as training providers develop programs to meet these requirements, and providers currently meeting requirements may be overwhelmed by demand. Luckily, there are a handful of online options being offered by providers like ProDriverU.
